About Us

The University of Southern California’s Washington, D.C. Center is home to USC’s Office of Research Advancement. The Office of Research Advancement strategically pursues funding opportunities, with a targeted focus on large, multidisciplinary research projects that promote collaboration and positive societal impact.

USC's Washington, DC Office of Research Advancement maintains and strengthens ties between the university's investigators and federal and philanthropic research sponsors. It tracks current and emerging funding priorities among federal agencies. It helps faculty to initiate or expand sponsored research programs. The office's staff also promotes USC research breakthroughs and findings to grantmaking institutions and policymakers in the region.

The vision of the USC's DC Office of Research Advancement is excellence in enabling and supporting innovative research that advances the reputation of USC while making a significant impact on the issues facing society, and a lasting impact on scholarship and research.

The University of Southern California's DC Office of Research Advancement falls under the Office of the Vice Provost for Research Advancement.
